Corporate Culture
Our culture
For us, architecture is more than just designing buildings. It is a responsibility towards people, places, and the future. Since our founding in [year] 2004 We design projects with this ambition – and today we can look back on over 25 years of experience in the market back.
The firm was founded in April 2004 together with Ingo Horvath, Götz Thoma, and Jörg Zimmermann, and initially operated under the name htz architekten. After an early phase of joint development and the departure of some partners, the firm was continued independently by Jörg Zimmermann and has been steadily expanded.
Following the arrival of Karl-Heinz Nagel in 2008, the current partnership Zimmermann & Nagel Architekten was formed – based on many years of experience, reliability and the ambition to create architecture with attitude.
Before founding our company, we had already worked successfully together on projects at a renowned architectural firm. This continuity combines in-depth expertise, a long-standing partnership, and the commitment to developing every project with the same care and passion.
attitude and aspiration
We combine design quality with technical precision and economic responsibility. Our goal is to create architecture that is functionally, sustainably, and aesthetically compelling – and that endures beyond the moment.
We understand architecture as a dialogue: with our clients, with specialist planners, with cities and municipalities, and with the built environment. Our many years of experience enable us to conduct this dialogue in a structured, forward-looking, and solution-oriented manner.
Cooperation
Our work thrives on interdisciplinary exchange and mutual respect. We see diverse perspectives as a strength that enriches our projects. We make decisions transparently, based on sound reasoning, and with a clear focus on our shared goal.
We encourage independent work, support each other, and share our knowledge. This creates a work environment where ideas can grow and innovative solutions can emerge.
Responsibility
We take responsibility for the quality of our work and for the impact of our projects on the environment and society. Sustainability, resource conservation, and long-term usability are central planning criteria for us.
Reliability, integrity, and professionalism characterize our collaboration – both within our team and with our partners and clients. The trust placed in us over many years is both an obligation and a motivation for us.
Development
Even after more than two decades in the market, we understand architecture as a continuous learning process. We consciously integrate new technologies, changing requirements, and societal developments into our work.
Our goal is to create an environment where people enjoy working, taking responsibility, and collaboratively developing architecture that sustainably combines quality, function, and design.
