Conversion, renovation and modernization of changing rooms and social areas at the VFL Sindelfingen (BW) tennis hall

All sanitary facilities were modernized. High-quality, but also cost-effective sanitary facilities for use, which are both functional and aesthetically pleasing. The new sanitary facilities were planned in accordance with the relevant guidelines and partially designed to be barrier-free (including new construction and the first-ever addition of a complete Accessible toilet according to DIN 18040-01), in order to enable easy access and use for all users.

As part of the comprehensive renovation of the ground floor of the tennis hall, the sanitary/changing area and the technical room in the basement underwent a fundamental building services upgrade. The aim of these measures was to improve the functionality, hygiene, and energy efficiency of the sanitary facilities. In particular, a new Ventilation system with heat recovery A new ventilation system was installed that meets the requirements of modern ventilation technology. This system was equipped with modern ventilation ducts and outlets to ensure optimal air circulation and quality in the sanitary areas. The new ventilation system was designed to meet current indoor air quality requirements while also operating energy-efficiently. The ventilation system was equipped with a heat recovery system that uses the exhaust air to preheat the supply air. This contributes to Reduction of energy consumption and ensures a pleasant indoor climate. Furthermore, a complete Renewal of drinking water pipes on the ground floor and basement to minimize health risks, especially from Legionella.
As part of the renovation, the following were carried out starting from the point where the drinking water supply enters the building: Drinking water pipes completely renovated The meter box was also renewed, taking into account the technical requirements of the Sindelfingen municipal utilities. Since the basement is below the backflow level, backflow preventers were installed during the renovation. The entire electrical system, which had become outdated, was completely renovated in the conversion area.
Beyond the actual renovation, necessary static strengthening measures implemented, required Escape routes (Second escape route) were constructed according to current regulations, required fire extinguishers for the entire tennis hall were renewed, also a fire protection upgrade (including F30 walls) was carried out.
